Reed Hall Wedding Photographer Exeter – Natasha & John
I love Exeter! I know it’s quite a statement but as a Devon wedding photographer it offers so much. I also went to University in Exeter and lived there for six years so it has a special place in my heart. Exeter has the hustle and bustle if you want it, but also the quietness if you need it. I used to love walking down to Exeter Quay and browsing in the little antique and arty shops. I very rarely get to visit these days so it’s always nice as a wedding photographer to return.
Well it’s been some time since I posted a wedding on the blog so it’s about time it happened. I am really pleased to be sharing Natasha & John’s wedding from the lovely Reed Hall in Exeter. A beautiful location on The University of Exeter’s campus. Reed Hall is set in 300 acres of stunning gardens. Your guests will love it. After the wedding breakfast it is great to see guests wander the gardens and enjoying the delights. There are so many areas where the bride & groom can retreat to for some intimate couple shots. I just love capturing weddings at Reed Hall and I look forward to returning again soon.
Getting married at Reed Hall
Natasha got ready in the bridal suite at Reed Hall with her family and bridesmaids. I always enjoy photographing this part of the day as there is so much excitement. Natasha was very relaxed and she did not stop smiling and laughing throughout the whole day. The ceremony took place right next door to the bridal suite and was lovely. It was very emotional for their son and ring bearer. He did a great job!
After the ceremony everyone congregated outside for drinks and nibbles and to catch up and have a laugh. For the couple shots we wandered Reed Hall’s beautiful grounds. The weather was a bit cloudy but very warm. It was soon time for the wedding breakfast and the room was amazing. It was like a jungle in there, creatively decorated by It’s Your Day, Check them out! The wedding speeches as always were full of laughter. There is always plenty of emotion on show, mainly embarrassment but plenty of laughter too, and that makes for great pictures.
The day went so quickly. It was soon time for the dancing. I have found over the years that it is also the time for the quiet ones to step forward after a few sherbets. And this Reed Hall wedding was no exception. After the first dance the celebrations got going and I got to see a lot of the fun begin, especially on the dance floor. This is why I love my job! As a wedding photographer I get to experience many weddings and every wedding is so different. Such fun! Please scroll down and enjoy a small selection of images. I very much like black & white but there are splashes of colour in there too. If you would like to see a few more from the day please check out the YouTube slideshow
Thanks Natasha & John for making me feel welcome and for feeding me. It was very much appreciated.
